Prior to coming to the Steelworkers 10 years ago, I was employed by the United Electrical Workers (UE) for almost 13 years. I became actively involved in Local 3657 nine years ago and have held the positions of Guide and CAT Team Coordinator; worked on the Bylaws, Tellers and Recreation Committees; and assisted the Local in other capacities. |

Randy Johnson
I was employed for nine years in the paper industry; four of those years as Shop Steward, two years as Unit Vice-President in amalgamated UPIU Local 154. We battled through an asset sale with a seven-month strike that ended in a plant closing. I have 13 years of experience in Strategic Campaign; seven of those years as lead bargainer for the PTEU staff union. I was also headquarterss steward for the Reps and Organizers Union at PACE. We organized Grant Staff employees of the PACE International Union and secured a separate contract for these members. It is my desire to use my experiences and assist 3657 members while supporting local leadership as we face issues over the next three years. |

I have been an employee of the International for nine years. I work in Local Union Services and really enjoy helping the locals with their Government Reports and membership needs. IIve held the position of 3657 Financial Secretary for five years. Thank you for your support. |

I have been with the International Union for almost 12 years. Since becoming a part of the USW Political Department, IIve had the opportunity to see so many of our brothers and sisters sacrificing their time for what they believe in and in supporting the Union ... and I believe in 3657. |

I have been employed for the USW for almost 11 years. During that time I have worked in Local Union Services and I am currently in the Accounting Department. IIve held the position of 3657 Trustee for three years and have filled in as chair for our local union meetings when needed. I am currently running for my second term as Treasurer and would like to continue using my skills to represent all 3657 members. |

This year I will mark my 22nd year of service. I began serving Local 3657 in 2003 as the District 9 Steward. With the PACE merger I was appointed as the Steward for District 13 and remain the representative in that position. I was elected as the Field Griever in the 2006 election and will continue to serve in that position. I look forward to serving all of the members of Local 3657 both in the field and in the headquarters. |

Judy Smith
I am the current Steward for District 12 and have been a permanent employee for the USW for the past 22 years. I have been involved in many activities of our Union, including WOS, organizing, legislative actions and elections, etc. I am also involved in community, social and environmental organizations. Working in a field office has given me the wonderful opportunity of getting to know and directly assisting the members we serve. I look forward to continuing to serve my local union brothers and sisters as District Steward and Field Griever, and I thank you for your support. |

I have been a member of Local 3657 for almost 13 years working in the Des Moines, Iowa, Sub-District office a job I enjoy immensely! IIve been active in our local for a number of years, starting out as the field coordinator for our WOS committee on many various activities/drives. IIve also served in several positions such as Field CAT Coordinator, District #11 Steward, Outside Guard, Trustee and Webmaster. I hope our members feel I have served them well. |
